HOW TO SHOOT A PANORAMA
This video was shot by my friend Lisa Bettany, who helped design my favorte phone app, Camera Plus, while we were at the Aperture/Nature Photography Workshop in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I was teaching the students hwo to capture panos at Oxbow Bend one morning while Lisa made a video of it.
A review of Scott’s tips for taking a panoramic:
Use a solid & level tripod
Check to make sure your entire shot is level and all your subject is in your frame.
Try and use a pano head if possibleand also a nodal plate
Shoot on Manual so that all your settings stay constant
Use a cable release
Overlap each shot from 20-50%
Stitch photos in post
